It is a natural role of businesses and their leaders to actively participate in the solution of issues concerning the whole society because business has the means and tools necessary for the solution of key areas. The way to success in the area of social responsibility involves cooperation, partnership, synergy, objectiveness and private initiative. These principles have provided the impetus for the creation of the platform Business for Society, a forum of responsible businesses.

Principles and mission of the platform Business for Society - together we are changing the way businesses do business.

The platform develops the social responsibility of businesses and their role in the society. It is intended to mobilise and activate businesses and other key institutions for social issues, responsible business performance and the development of the quality of life in the society. Business for Society is a platform, which helps improving the cooperation of companies as well as their professional background, and allows them to share experience and seek new approaches in the area of social responsibility. It aims to promote cooperation among rival companies and respect the opinions and values of the others. The platform is inspired by the model of Business in the Community, a leading organisation in Great Britain operating at the global field of corporate social responsibility, which cooperates with more than 800 major businesses. The Czech platform has been established on the basis of the experience of the Club of Corporate Donors "Donátor".

Work model

Business for Society implements its programmes through partner organisations in five main strategic areas. The platform unites other activities whose aim is to set up standards in this area, support the involvement of business leaders and other players in the form of work groups and leadership teams.
