TOP Philanthropist 2010
The 7th year of the prestigious contest TOP Philanthropist, an international award granted by Business for Society to socially responsible enterprises, will be organised in partnership with the Czech Donors Forum, Czech TOP 100, Business in the Community, Czech Society for Human Resources Development, PricewaterhouseCoopers Česká republika, s. r. o., the Partnership Foundation and the Ecological Institute Veronica.
TOP Philanthropist, an international award granted by Business for Society to socially responsible enterprises, provides a complex evaluation of public-benefit activities of businesses. Awards are aimed to recognize enterprises which have proved their innovative approach, creativity and long-term determination for social responsibility. Enterprises of all types and sizes are eligible to enter the contest TOP Philanthropist, an international award granted by Business for Society. The decisive factor for granting the Awards is above all the quality and effectiveness of the project, not the size of an enterprise, or the amount of provided financial support.
The contest is of an international character, as the example of the Czech TOP Philanthropist has been followed in the neighbouring countries, such as Slovakia, Hungary and others, which organise their own similar Awards. This year, Business for the Society, in close cooperation with British organisation Business in the Community, have initiated a new award granted for excellence in responsible employer-employee partnership. The winning company of the Czech TOP Philanthropist in the category of employee involvement will be also assessed within the European Employee Volunteering Awards 2011 granted on the occasion of The European Year of Volunteering 2011.
One of the awards of the TOP Philanthropist contest will also be granted to individuals, who have worked for the benefit of the society. This year, for the first time ever, the public can vote for the winner of the Personality of 2010 Award, granted by Telefónica O2 for personal engagement for the benefit of the society.
This year, too, a new special benefit has been developed for those enterprises that will win one of the awards TOP Philanthropist 2010 for responsible leadership. Each of these three winning enterprises will be rewarded with a voucher for one advertising page in the magazine CSR Fórum.
Applications to the contest are open as of August 23, 2010. To participate, please submit the application forms on-line at www.byznysprospolecnost.cz. The closing date is September 24, 2010.
The Top Philanthropist contest ceremony will take place on November 11, 2010. The gala evening will be presented by Jaroslav Dušek, with the trio of Michal Prokop as a special music guest.

TOP Philanthropist Award for Responsible Leadership
Responsible Large Company Award
An award granted by Plzeňský Prazdroj to a large company for the most socially responsible approach.
Responsible Small and Medium-Sized Company Award
An award granted by Plzeňský Prazdroj to a small/medium-sized company for the most socially responsible approach.
Partnership Cooperation Award
An award granted by the platform Business for Society for the development of best joint public-benefit projects of companies and organisations.
TOP Philanthropist 2010 Awards for projects in strategic areas:
Responsible Partnership with Employees Award
An award granted by Česká spořitelna for the most responsible approach of an enterprise to its employees.
This category has been prepared with the expert assistance of the Czech Society for Human Resources Development.
Responsible Partnership with Customers and Suppliers Award
An award granted for the most responsible approach of an enterprise to its customers and business partners.
Large Corporate Donor Award
An award granted by the Czech Donors Forum for the largest provided amount in the area of corporate donorship.
Generous Corporate Donor Award
An award granted by the Czech Donors Forum for providing the largest proportion of profits in the area of corporate donorship.

Responsible Approach to the Environment Award
An award granted for the most responsible approach of a company to the environment.
