News - Companies need to focus more on professional help. NGOs need to create better conditions for such approaches

The conference Strategic Corporate Volunteering took place in Prague on Thursday, November 3th. The representatives from platform's members and non-members and NGOs presented their voluntary programmes and activities.

The participants stressed the problem of inadequate corporate voluntary help in some cases and the need of giving know-how rather than material help to the NGOs. On the contrary these need to be more efficient in terms of setting up the rules and conditions for such help.

The brochure of Thematic Expert Group about corporate volunteering and the new documentary about volunteering were introduced as well. The conference was held in the frame of the European Year of Volunteering 2011. The main partner of the event is CEZ Group.
